Zagreb, Croatia, July 29, 2026 - Mlinar, part of the Croatian investment group BOSQAR INVEST (BOSQAR d.d. - ZSE: BSQR), is investing EUR 12 million in a significant expansion of the production capacity of its burek factory in Osijek.

The project represents one of the company's largest single investments in production capacity in recent years and reflects Mlinar's response to continued strong demand for burek across the markets in which it operates.

The investment includes the installation of a new, fully automated burek production line with a capacity equal to the combined capacity of the factory's existing four production lines.

Upon completion, the investment will double the production capacity of the Osijek facility while further improving production efficiency, supply chain flexibility, and readiness for continued growth across both existing and new markets. It will also create the conditions for stronger export growth in international markets beyond the region, where Mlinar already has an established sales presence.

As the leading burek producer in the region, Mlinar is further strengthening its manufacturing platform through this investment. At the same time, the expansion is expected to have a positive impact on employment in Osijek, continuing the long-term development of the production site.

Since 2021/2022, Mlinar has created more than 230 new jobs at its Osijek factory.

"This investment is a natural continuation of our growth and a response to the sustained increase in demand for products in the burek category. The new production line will enable us to double our capacity, further improve operational efficiency, and ensure a reliable, high-quality supply across all the markets in which we operate. At the same time, this investment reaffirms our long-term commitment to developing domestic manufacturing and strengthening Mlinar's production capabilities in Croatia," said Mladen Veber, President of the Management Board of Mlinar.

The investment in the Osijek factory forms part of Mlinar's long-term strategy of continuous investment in production modernization, technological development, and capacity expansion, enabling the company to support continued business growth while further reinforcing its leading position in the regional bakery market.
