Vukovar, Croatia, October 10th, 2025 – As part of its internal Green Week initiative, held across BOSQAR INVEST companies in the October 6th-10th period, the group organized a Green Building Event in Vukovar, Croatia.
In collaboration with Project O2, an initiative based on reforestation with cutting-edge drone technology, employees of multiple BOSQAR INVEST group companies participated in a tree-planting campaign, marking the start of the new reforestation season.
On a one-hectare site, several hundred young trees were planted, set to grow into a vibrant new forest. Among participants were also students from Vukovar Gymnasium, demonstrating that meaningful change begins with knowledge, unity, and action.
Alongside hands-on engagement in planting, BOSQAR also provided financial support for the procurement of 2500/ha seed balls (SeedBombs), contributing to the success of the initiative and supporting the restoration of local forests.

Knowledge as the Root of Change
Project O2 is an initiative developed by the company Magic Forest from Grubišno Polje with a mission to combat deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions through science-based, natural solutions for forest regeneration.
Before the planting, the Project O2 team conducted a short educational workshop demonstrating drone-based planting techniques, showing how self-germinating seed balls (“SeedBombs”) are dispersed efficiently, even in remote or fire-affected areas.

“Each of our seed bombs contains a seed, clay, sand, and substrate – what we like to call a supernatural habitat, giving the seed everything it needs to thrive,” explained Goran Ladišić, co-founder of Project O2.
“Sand retains moisture, clay provides structure, the substrate supplies nutrients, and sometimes we add natural deterrents like chili or linseed oil to protect seeds from wildlife.”
After observing the demonstration, each participant had the opportunity to personally plant seedlings, including pedunculate oak (Quercus Robur) and weeping willow (Salix alba ‘Tristis’), contributing directly to the restoration of native forest species.

Sustainability in Action
Addressing the participants ahead of the activity, Ivana Turjak Čebohin, Head of ESG at BOSQAR INVEST, said:
“For BOSQAR INVEST, sustainability is not a trend or a buzzword – it’s how we live, work, and make decisions. When a company has the opportunity to drive change, make a meaningful impact on the community, and lead positive transformation, it’s a significant responsibility, but also a privilege. That’s why we do it together – through every project, every decision, every day.”
Turjak Čebohin also highlighted BOSQAR INVEST’s efforts and achievements in ESG over the years, noting that the group launched Croatia’s first sustainability-linked bond in 2022, reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 32% by the end of 2024 – surpassing 2027 targets ahead of time – and achieved 48% female representation in leadership positions, reflecting a genuine commitment to equality and inclusivity.

“At BOSQAR, we believe investing in people and the planet is the most valuable investment of all. It’s our contribution to the world we leave for future generations,” she added.
Through BOSQAR’s Green Week initiative, small, everyday actions – multiplied by many people working together – create real, lasting impact.
